Our student representatives, Lau Olivia Aurora Hiu Yee, Dong Vincy and Leung Chak Hin, had the privilege of visiting the Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore under the "Connecting ASEAN, Embracing the World" Consulate-General Visit Program organized by the Hong Kong Subsidized Secondary Schools Council. The afternoon began with a captivating sharing session by the Consul General, Mr. Eric TEO Boon Hee. Mr. Teo opened up about his career as a diplomat, sharing the unique challenges and exciting opportunities that come with the role. He offered our students a front-row seat to the relationship between Singapore and Hong Kong, explaining how these two global hubs both compete and cooperate to thrive. Most importantly, he spoke about the essential values for future success, reminding our students that hard work, discipline, and a deep sense of responsibility are the true pillars of any career. He left them with the inspiring thought that even when one path seems blocked, a window closed may simply signify a window opened elsewhere.
Once the sharing concluded, alongside two other secondary schools, our representatives gave their own school-based presentation to introduce our unique school culture and community to the Consul-General. The event wrapped up with a lively interaction session. It was a day filled with deep learning and meaningful connection, leaving our representatives with a clear understanding of how to navigate their future goals with a dedicated and responsible mindset.
