Examination System
The school year is divided into two terms except F.6.
There is one examination in each term; however, daily performance is also emphasized.
The mark allocation of each form is as follows:

Promotion Criteria
- F.1 to F.3
- Average 50 and above, and
- Pass in English, Chinese, Mathematics and Liberal Studies, and
- Conduct C or above in both terms
- F.4
- Average 45 or above, and
- ii. Pass in English, Chinese, Mathematics, Citizenship and Social Development
- Conduct C or above in both terms
- F.5
- Average 45 or above, and
- ii. Pass in English, Chinese, Mathematics, Citizenship and Social Development
- Conduct C or above in both terms
- F.6
- Average 45 or above, and
- Pass in English, Chinese, Mathematics and Liberal Studies, and
- Conduct C or above in both terms
Model Students Criteria
- F.1 to F.3 students who attain :
- Conduct A- or above, and
- Pass in all subjects, and
- Average 80 or above, and
- Recommended in the promotion meeting
- F.4 to F.6 students who attain :
- Conduct A- or above, and
- Pass in all subjects, and
- Average 75 or above, and
- Recommended in the promotion meeting
Examination Regulations
- Cheating/Not following instruction of the invigilator :
- Cheating in any test or examination is forbidden.
If a student is found cheating, he/she will get no mark for that script
- If a candidate is found cheating for two times within the same examination,
the maximum penalty is getting no mark for his/her subjects in that examination.
- Beside getting no mark for that script, a candidate who cheats in the examination
will receive further punishment from the school depending on seriousness of the misbehaviour.
- The fact of having no mark due to cheating in examination will be recorded
in the report card so as to ensure parents' understanding.
- If a candidate does not follow the instruction of the invigilator during any test or examination,
he/she will get a deduction of marks for that script.
- Candidates of F.1 to F.3 are not allowed to have early leave during the Uniform test and Examination,
but F.4 to F.6 students may leave the examination centre 30 minutes after the start of the examination
with the approval of the invigilator. Candidates who arrive late for more than 30 minutes must get
the permission from the Examination Master first before taking part in the examination.
No extra time should be given.
- The announcement of closure of school due to tropical cyclone or bad weather or the issue
of the Rainstorm Red or Rannstorm Black warning implies a necessary rearrangement for
the examination scheduled to be held that day.
- Application of Supplementary Uniform Test / Examinations :
- Any absence from examination because of important event (such as important celebration
or funeral of family members) should apply for supplementary examination in advance.
- The school must be informed of any absence from examination because of sickness
before 8:10a.m. A candidate should apply for supplementary examination on the first day
he/she comes back with the supporting letter from a doctor. Application forms of supplementary
examination are available from the Prefect of Academic Studies. Candidate should hand in
the form to the Prefect of Academic Studies immediately.
- A letter explaining the absence should be handed in to the office before applying for any
supplementary examination.
- The candidate would be informed of the approval, time and place of the supplementary
examination as soon as possible.
- Absence without notification will be treated as absence without reason. Supplementary
examination will not be given and punishment will be given according school's regulations.
- Supplementary examination will not be given for any absentee in some papers, e.g. group
oral examination.
- There is deduction of marks for any supplementary examination script.
- Absenec of school days
Students who have been absent for more than one-fifth of the total school days in the school year
are not allowed to sit in the final examination. Students could also be disqualified even some
examination subjects have been finished. The school will also make special arrangement for exceptional cases.

in form from F.1 to F.6.

in class from F.1 to F.6.

Subject Prize : First in form in each subject from F.1 to F.6.

Kowloon Tong Alliance Church Schoolarship : Student who has attained the highest annual average
marks in form from F.1 to F.6.

Yau Oi Church Schoolarship : The best three who have attained the highest annual average marks
in Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics and Liberal Studies in form from
F.1 to F.6.

PTA Schoolarship : Student Award Scheme Gold Award holders.

Alumni Association Schoolarship : Student who has attained the second highest annual average
marks in form from F.1 to F.6.

Criteria of Service Schoolarship, Culture and Art Schoolarship and Physical Education Schoolarship
Service Schoolarship
Candidates should:

be bright school leaders, such as student union staff, prefects, house staff, or counseling prefects,
-
participate enthusiastically in both school and inter-school services and make notable achievements,
-
have played an outstanding leading role in various positions at school for at least two years,
-
be nominated by teachers concerned, endorsed by the Prefect of Student Affairs, and finally
approved by the Board of Student Affairs,
Culture and Art Schoolarship
Candidates should:

be remarkable in Arts, Home Economics, Music, Computer and IT, Drama, Speech or
in the realm of culture and arts at school,
-
achieve excellent results in activities related to culture and arts,
-
contribute much to culture and arts activities,
-
be nominated by teachers concerned, endorsed by the Prefect of Student Affairs, and
finally approved by the Board of Student Affairs.
Physical Education Schoolarship
Candidates should:

have excellent results in Physical Education,
-
performed brilliantly in the school sports teams,
-
win remarkable awards in inter-school sports competition,
-
contribute much to sports activities at school,
-
be nominated by teachers concerned, endorsed by the Prefect of Student Affairs, and finally
approved by the Board of Student Affairs.
Graduation Criteria
F.6 students who attain :
- Average 45 or above in the average mark, and
- Pass in English, Chinese, Mathematics and Liberal Studies, and
- Conduct C or above in the year.
